A Hundred Thousand Welcomes to the online home of the Chicago Fire Department Pipes & Drums.

Our mission is simple....To foster a sense of PRIDE in our chosen professions. HONOR those who serve our great country both in public and military service, especially those who make the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. And to uphold the TRADITION of piping and drumming culture by striving for the highest level of performance.

The band is available for a wide range of events, from small private parties to large corporate events.

As demand for the band grows, we will continue to answer the call.

Membership is open to active and retired Chicago Fire Department members, their spouses and children, and family members of deceased members. Additionally, OEMC personnel assigned to the Englewood or Main Fire Alarm Offices are eligible for membership.

New students are added annually. Piping or drumming experience is not necessary. Our pipe and drum instructors have created an exceptional learning environment that is supportive and fosters a true sense of fraternity. There is no cost for group instruction. Private instruction is also available from our instructors.

We meet Thursday evenings at the Quinn Fire Academy beginning at 6:30. Prospective students are encouraged to sit in on a practice session.
